A PE teacher is facing disciplinary action after appearing in a range of "completely inappropriate" poses on a modelling website.

Natasha Gray, who was voted the UK's sexiest teacher on a television show in 2002, was shown in one photograph wearing a thong while lying on her front on a bed.
Ben Slade, headteacher of Manor Community College in Cambridge, said the pictures of the head of physical education should not have been published.
"They were completely inappropriate for somebody who is a teacher," he said.
"They were absolutely not pornographic but do you want to see your teacher in that way? Probably not."

Mr Slade said he had ordered the immediate removal of the portfolio of "about eight" photographs from the website iModel.com after he became aware of them.
He said they featured Miss Gray, who is in her early 30s, in a range of poses, including one "lying on a bed on her front in a thong".
"I'm not the sort of person who will accept totally inappropriate behaviour by a member of staff," said Mr Slade.
"I'm in consultation with our personnel department and with the local authority in relation to further action."
He said Miss Gray had not been suspended but added he felt "let down" by her actions.
"We're trying to improve things here. Results have gone up considerably in the last two years - from 32% achieving 5 A-C grades at GCSE to 50%," Mr Slade said.
"I'm extremely disappointed that this member of staff has let us down."

Hafing seen the images in question, there is nothing really all that wrong with them... considering, that you will find far worse on any social site. Usually of the persons involved being drunk or anything far from professional.

So, should she haf been left alone or not?

Just it, it's not like she is spread eagled with her hoo hoo showing to all and sundry. They are tasteful pictures.

Matters not when the photos were taken, as the ones of her in the pink, are the ones in question. And to be honest... can bet that there are ones of her (or other members of staff) in a bikini/swimsuit/drunk on their myspace/other social networking site.

Even if she was given prize money, it's no different to entering any contest and winning. Just that on this occasion, more fuss was made than was needed,

Although.. haf to wonder why the Headmaster was looking at all the women on Imodel Suspect

It is funny, as the school obviously knew she was on the TV show back in 2002 (!!!... and 7yrs later they make an issue of it) and had no problem with that... but sure they would haf been more than aware that there would be some risqué pictures taken after?

Wasn't like she was going to vanish into obscurity soon as she won was it?

Well..she has a lovely healthy looking body, she looks all natural and she's not a twig..

Far as I can tell she's a great advertisement for exercise and the benefits of it..you'd think she'd be an inspiration to the kids she teaches haha..

Is the school a Catholic one..they tend to dislike immodesty a lot?

Oh that's a nice website they have there and it's full of interesting bits and pieces..I think Mr. Slade, no stranger to the media has rather cynically abused the media for a little free advertising of his school

He makes mention of his gratitude to certain teachers for their school winning a coveted award in excellence for arts ..one of whom is Ms. Gray
"I would like to praise the hard work of Naila Din, Director of Specialism and Head of Art and Design, and her talented team: Kevin McCann (Deputy Director of Specialism), Lee Parry (Drama), James Utting and Peter Glazebrook (Music) and Natasha Gray (Dance and PE) for all the time they have invested in applying for this award and evidencing our achievements. I am proud of this team of staff and what they do for the benefit of our students."

And from his wikipedia entry :
Ben Slade (born 22 April 1976) was a presenter on the BBC Network Children's magazine programme, Why Don't You? He joined the series in 1988 as a member of the Cardiff gang where his distinctive Welsh "Dai Cap" (flat hat) was worn for the first time. After the first series (directed by David J. Evans) Slade joined the Newcastle gang which also featured Ant McPartlin and he subsequently appeared as part of two Liverpool 'gangs'. These latter programmes were written and directed by Russell T. Davies who went on to work on Doctor Who. Slade last appeared as a guest on the first series directed by Trevor Stephenson-Long before pursuing other avenues. He has appeared in a number of TV and stage productions and was a member of the HTV Wales Drama workshop.

After several TV appearances, most recently on ITV1 Wales' Presenters (hosted by Gabby Logan) Slade pursued a teaching career and is now one of the youngest secondary headteachers in the country. Slade has been Principal of Manor Community College in Cambridge since 2007. He writes periodically for the Times Educational Supplement.

The page from the school's website showing where Mr. slade has appeared in print

On further reading of articles about him and his school ..it seems that the principal is very ambitious for his school - in fact if I were living in that area after reading the website et al I would definitely check out their school for my kids if I were unhappy with their present school...good luck to Mr. Slade..the chancer!!

Are Welsh people renowned for this sort of trickery?

Seems it was all just a free bit of publicity... maybe slow numbers for people joining up? But as they say... nothing better than free publicity. He came out of it all high and mighty, just at the potential cost of her job
